Differences between GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth wireless antennas
1、 GPRS antenna is different in each GSM band
GPRS refers to digital transmission in the GSM frequency band, which is 890-960mhz in the 2G era and 900-1800mhz in the 3G era. The channels of various operators are different, and the frequency bands of 2G and 3G are also different, so the GPRS antennas of 2G and 3G are also different.
2、 WiFi wireless antenna and Bluetooth wireless antenna
WiFi wireless antenna and Bluetooth wireless antenna both use 2.4G frequency band, but if subdivided, the two protocols use different frequency channels, just like channels on the highway. WiFi takes the small lane, Bluetooth takes the cargo lane, cars can't walk on the arrival lane, and trucks can't walk on the small lane.
Because the channels are very close, the antenna can be universal, but the effect will be biased (it doesn't matter because the PCB antenna covers a wide range of frequency bands). As long as it is a whip antenna, it can be used for Bluetooth and WiFi. Because the signal requirements of Bluetooth wireless antenna and WiFi wireless antenna are not much different, they all communicate over a distance of about ten meters.
However, the GPRS antenna has high requirements for signals. Generally, the communication radius of cellular GPRS networks is within a few kilometers. The equipment receiving signals usually uses round hole antennas, otherwise the signals will not be received. The general frequency of GPRS is about 1GHz, while that of WiFi is between 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and that of Bluetooth is similar, so the antennas of WiFi wireless antenna and Bluetooth wireless antenna are different from that of GPRS antenna.
There is a relationship between the wavelength and the size of the receiving antenna. If the wavelength is different, the size of the antenna will be different. In addition, there is an impedance matching problem. Impedance mismatch will cause signal reflection, and the signal will be greatly attenuated.
